i'm pretty sure he was controlled if he was standing in the middle of the ring after he threw

And the discus has to land first. And you have to leave the ring from behind those lines othervise its not a valid throw.

the thrower has to have control before they step out, and he had control, then he jumped out, so thats okay

I dont think so.. maybe all i know is that it has to be out the back (obviously) and under control
