Shadow of the Colossus - NICO development builds

I organised this NICO video into groups depending on which version is shown. The original video is all mixed up with the different versions in no particular order so I've called them 'Alpha, 'Beta' etc. although I have no idea how many builds there were or what Team Ico called them, so this is just speculation.

For instance for the 'Beta' build Wander has a blue vest compared to his later brown vest we are familiar with.

@gohchimon Not that I know of. These were only released as videos very early on to show the higher ups at Sony what they were working on and presumably were released to the public online at some point.

It looks to me like those tentacles on phalanx were attached to his fin and body, like a harp string...the clip we have here looks like Wander just cut it. Maybe you had to cut them to get his weakpoint to be revealed?

@GrassDragon From the art book, Ueda says 'Its nickname was The Snake. It’s the biggest of all the Colossi, around 200 meters long. I wanted there to be a Colossi you would defeat by jumping from your horse. In the beginning, you’d defeat it by cutting a muscle within an opening that contained its weak point'.

Oh...one thing I've always wondered about and have yet to see it posted in your videos is the area beneath the collapsing bridge on the way to the damn. What the hell is down there...have you been? @RunninRebelBen I would say an obsession rather than a hobby xD. I'm a graphic artist by trade but it has nothing to do with the gaming industry. Which bridge do you mean? The one at 16's area where Agro falls?

i would love to see footage of the unused colossus, but im sure they dont exist, unless someone does a major hack or something

While the SoW doesn't seem to be visible in any of the alpha videos, the bridge/SoW was visible in the original multiplayer concept video. So being that that came before any of these alpha versions (although as a video, and not a game), I think it's very likely that some old iteration of the bridge/SoW were in these versions.
