It only takes a little whiskey to take that steak of yours to the next level. Check out one of our favorite steaks and marinades for the barbecue grill.

  • I LOVE ALL THE PIT BOYS VIDS!!!!

Being an aussie, and a tong master my self, i must say you guys are gr8 and give me some gr8 tips! :) your sauces/dips and mops are A*.

Question, after makeing bbq sauce, how long do ya think it will keep?? (if i make enough so i DONT use it all in 1-2 days!)

    Keep it up! :)

  • hey ozinkent, thanks for those kind words. We keep xtra marinades and sauces in glass jars in the refridge for up to a few weeks, if they last that long! -BBQ Pit Boys

  • I notice alot of you keep asking "how thick", he says at 3:45 it's 1/2"-3/4"

Also, I'd like to know, how strong will the Jack flavor be or will you taste it at all? I'm aware the longer it marinates the stronger it'd be, but after 1-2 hrs is there a distinct whiskey flavor?

  • hey dbwhitted,

the JD flavor from those old smoked oak barrels will come through strong......like a shot or two per steak...an hour works real good, but longer may get you a DUI ... -BBQ Pit Boys

    good eatin'

  • I love the name Jack Steak :) It looks like it taste great.

  • Would this marinade work for chicken???

  • Ha, your voice always cheer me up. MMMMMM-HMM. Man. :D

    Also, the steak looks tasty.

  • Nice BBQ did u make that?

  • Trying this marinade on a couple of round-eyes tonight!

  • @nseagoon71 We are admittedly behind on that. It's more accurate I believe. I'm working on the switch now. But at 47 years old It's hard to change old ways.

  • I was drinking a "Gentleman Jack" as I watched this. I'm going to make this for my son soon. He will be 15 in August. I'm not waiting until then. Scott and I love steak. Thank you.

  • @ozinkent Yeah agreed, fellow Aussie here. The Americans really have BBQ'ing down to a fine art. Just have to use a thermometer with Celsius and farenheit and you're good. (Farenheit doesn't make sense when you have been raised on Celsius all your life :)
