This is very rare Kodachrome Super 8 Sound movie film in the 200' cartridge. No longer available and can only be used in Super 8 sound movie cameras which can use take the 200' loads. I did hear that you can modify a 50' sound movie camera to take the 200' cartridge.

Super 8 sound film has a magnetic stripe along both sides of the film, where the audio is recorded in sync with the picture. The easiest and cheapest way to record sync sound with your Super 8 sound camera.

I recently shot some of this film and I have a sample posted online here. http://vimeo.com/14847567

I do have this film for sale on eBay. Please check out my site:

  • Hi is super 8 sound film widely available?

  • @omacias4 Unfortunately Super 8 Sound film was discontinued back in 1997. It's too bad they didn't continue with it because I'm sure more people would be using it now to make their films.

  • @bandit9ca if you re read my post,i was asking if there was anything like that.I saw a blog about a new cartidge,it was never really stated, but the wording makes me think that they made a cartridge that was digital.(basically a small camera)

  • Unfortunately Super 8 Sound film was discontinued long ago in 1997. I have seen postings on the internet of people making a sound film, but I don't know if they were successful in marketing it to the masses.

  • @BTBattlefronTV--I wonder where one can send these 200' rolls for developing in this day and age? I have never seen one of these, I've only heard and read about them. Back in the days, one of my folks was really into that super 8 stuff. We still have our vintage, sound, super 8 camera, and it's in pristine condition.
