@dway72 I couldn't agree with u more. Instead of spending all this time filming these people in their daily lives.....he should be apart of the solution...nobody asks to be an addict or homeless....he wouldn't last a day in their shoes....what a prick....yeah I said it and I'm not from Canada but I've done my research on Canada and Vancouver ...... Olympics shit ya best b worried about the Aids count being the highest in the whole Western world.....

I'm amazed to read some comments and see the ignorance of some people. Including the video poster himself. I understand this video was meant to inform people of the problem in Vancouver; however, I can't help but sense that you are mocking them as well. All of these people have unique stories and nearly all can be helped. Some may say, "Why should I help anyone who won't help themselves?" Ok, I'll agree with you, but why hurt or mock them? Maybe help the people trying to help them instead?

You are misinformed my friend

I've been there once in 2008. I just wanted to see what it was like. It was a unique experience. There's no other place like it in Canada.

@jacosgirl Millions of dollars are spent on policing the area, harm reduction programs, etc. The area attracts addicts from all over Canada and the US, namely because of the open market and the mild weather. It's quite easy to be homeless in Vancouver. Hard to say what the solution is....

Wow, this reminds me of a zombie movie....
Why are people hating on the guy filming this? This is educational. Great inside look into what all of these collective addicts are doing down there. And it shows a side of Vancouver that hardly anyone knows about.
I think the people hating on this video are mostly coming from drug addicts themselves.

The area itself might not be the prettiest area of town, nor the safest. However, would you rather have these people scattered all throughout downtown Vancouver? The police do a great job in keeping things where they are at. They don't have the manpower, nor the facilities to house all the criminals in the area. If they tried, I'm sure many innocent lives would be put at risk because everyone would transplant throughout the city.
