That is extremely true. The PC Engine games are actually good. No idea about the PS2 game, but this one is HORRIBLE.

@Luisfius Being honest, I beat both versions of this game, on several settings, but have only bothered to beat the PS 2 version once. Mostly because the bosses there are retardedly hard without the bombs, and you can't even stock as many as you would need for the boss rush. And the end boss is just a tiny little guy in a cape.....yeah, not very impressive.

I just found the photo montage weirdness of this game to be much more in line with the previous games, the PS2 one is just okay.

The Saturn version has a boss rush before the final boss, and the music runs fine on there :P

I love both version of this game though :P
