On the weekend of July 16th to 18th New Image, together with their top instructors, set off to Pine Center Mall in prince George to offer a series of free workshops and scholarships to the community. The goal was to help fulfill dreams to aspiring actors, makeup artists and estheticians. Shelly Readman from Pine Center mall was a wonderful partner helping with contacts from the community including coordinating advertising through newsprint, promotions, and travel accomidations. We also partnered with jennifer Attree from Wolf Radio and had a onsite Disc Jock Matt porteous. New Image Faculty went to work fast changing Matt from human to Wolfman in a matter of a few short hours.
Amber Downing and Phil Granger showcased their talents by running timely workshops for random onlookers and scheduled participants. Upon arrival Faculty from the College also ran a Make-up and spa workshop for a local school Ms Lorea's a College of Esthetic's and nail technology. Dee Kelly and their Faculty and students were very accomidating in developing an education relationship with New Image for the future. This is another example of how our school is constantly evolving in respect to education in all communities. In total the community benefitted by receiving 36,000 dollars in scholarships! Our next event will be at Guildford mall, Surrey B.C. on August 26th thru August 29th. This is part of our College tour that launched in Coquitlam following with Prince George, Surrey, Kamloops, Calgary and Edmonton.
Our School has an exclusive contract with Pine Center Mall for the next three years and we are looking forward to building strong relationships with all of our neighboring communities!
