  • Burr was a studdering queer who hid behind his face shield

  • @geekstreat lol if it were a clean hit i would call him to the computer and laugh at it... but this is not a clean hit and nobody should get hit like that... not even idiots like sean avery

  • @noangeldustneeded OMG Daddy got caught with his head down... happens to everybody.

  • @cursedlemon burr did not coast, he left his feet, and he skated from the bench, to contest what you just said.... and read the rulebook which i stated earlier.

  • @noangeldustneeded Yeah, I realize that, and you missed the point of my sarcasm. "Charging", aside from leaving your feet, has a very vague application. Generally it's understood that charging is taking more than three steps directly into an opponent to violently check him, especially head-on or into the boards. If you are skating and then coast into a hit, it is not charging - if it was, then all hits are charging. You do not call charging based on the severity of a hit - that's fucking stupid.

  • @cursedlemon no, not every check is from a player coming over the bench and straight to the corner. and not all checks are violent. checks were originally meant to knock a player off the puck, not to hurt him.

  • @noangeldustneeded Therefore, every single body check in hockey is a charge. Give me a break.

  • @WarmothGuitarist a charge is, by definition, The NHL rulebook dictates that charging "shall mean the actions of a player or goalkeeper who, as a result of DISTANCE TRAVELED, shall violently check an opponent in any manner. A 'charge' may be the result of a check into the boards, into the goal frame or in open ice." therefore, this was a charge. but whatever, theyre both retired anyway

  • @noangeldustneeded

So... One cannot come off the bench and backcheck? Get real... Lemieux had the puck, and was going deep into Detroit's zone. What should Burr have done...skate up to Lemieux and give him a pat on the back?

Who even calls "charging" anymore, unless a player leaves his feet? The charging call is virtually non-existent anymore...and even was back in this era.

  • @WarmothGuitarist it was a total charge... step, step, step, step, step, hit. from the bench to the corner straight up charge.
