American composer John Courter is the Professor of Music and College Organist of Berea College, Kentucky. He is a graduate of the Netherlands Carillon School in Amersfoort and a prolific composer of contemporary carillon music. Toccata Festevole is the third and final movement from Professor Courter's Suite No.1 for Carillon.

Played by Australian carillonneur Isaac Wong on St Rombouts Cathedral Carillon, Mechelen, Belgium.

  • It is with a heavy heart that I report that Mr. John Courter, the composer of this wonderful piece, died early this morning from cancer. This is just one of the gifts he left behind for us, the beauty and the majesty. Thank you Mr. Courter.
