This Blue whale carcass originally washed ashore near Hobson County Park in CA. It was then towed to Faria Park, north of Ventura, CA, where a necropsy was performed. It was determined that a ship strike was the cause of death of this female Blue whale. 9/15/07

  • They should have Butchered this DEAD whale and scattered it remains in the ocean. They could have kept the skeletal system for a Museum display... Yes, it would have be a SMELLY JOB.. They could have used Gas masks for the UNSAVORY task of butchering a ROTTING whale Carcass..

  • @communistjesus

They actually did cut up the whale and bury it 20-30 feet under the sand on the beach. They plan to retrieve the bones years later...

  • Don't criticize someone's spelling when clearly you have issues yourself...I mean c'mon, it's "you're" not "your." Really not rocket science, people.
