@LightSpirit06 haha u can count me in stupid itv getting rid of the best programes ever there getting rid of taggart next
-
@sierraoscar1990 I know!
I've actually walked passed the ITV studios were Mr Fincham's office is; want to come and help me through something through the windows like a petrol bomb or something and then beat the crap out of the jerk along with all the other ITV bosses? lol

@LightSpirit06 worst thing itv did was change the format and axe the bill im just collecting episodes now on dvd ive got 1984-1990 and ive got 1993-1999 on video and then 2002 onwards
-
@sierraoscar1990 Yeah same here. I hated the 9pm format - everything changed too much; the show, the characters, everything! I didn't like Smithy as Inspector, he should never have been promoted; he acted like a real jerk towards his colleagues, especially Callum. His life would've been much better if they hadn't killed off Kerry; they should've left a door open for her and Andrea.

@LightSpirit06 i agree well i always liked the bill until 2009 when they changed the format it was no where near as good as it used to be
-
@sierraoscar1990 Well it was sad that those six characters were killed of, but look on the bright side; they were replaced with some other of the greatest characters the show's ever had - Gina, Adam, Kerry, Smithy was brought back as Sergeant, Ramani, Terry, Neil so good did come out of it.
It was a shame that those seven characters were killed off in 2002, but I think maybe they'd run out of steam - well apparantley, Derek Conway had at least, suppose it was the rest for the others.
-
@LightSpirit06 however i still feel the bill was at its best between 1998-2002 it didnt seem the same after they killed everybody off in 2002
-
@sierraoscar1990 Yeah you're absolutely right.
Paul Marquess was a great executive producer, but he went too far with the Gabriel Kent storyline. Johnathan Young was never really as good as Paul or Richard Handford and he ran out of steam months before the show was put to 9pm. He stayed on too long; he should've left months before because he kept using the same storylines over and over again.
So despite going too far with Kent, Paul and Richard were two of the best EPs The Bill ever had.
Wow flashbacks. Can't believe you have so many of these uploaded. I have a box under my bed of the Bill on old vhs tapes that I demanded my dad record when I was at work. Couldn't wait to come home and watch it. Are all these uploads from recordings, or are they available on dvd? I would buy. Anyone remember Nick and Cass, totally my fave before the Smithy and Kerry days!
Oh God, and Crazy cathy.... flashbacks!
