  • Where do you plan to compete, Brian? (federation) Keep in mind you need to tailor your training accordingly based on that fed's rules.

  • @Grebbstar I'm not sure, yet. I'm trying to fix my hip first so I can deadlift over 225 and maybe hit some decent squat numbers. I'd really like to do a full meet before the year is over.

    Yeah, whether you can bench on your toes, raise your head up off the bench, and squat to the depth you were depends on which Fed you're training for.

    Only thing I'll say I think you definitely need to do is plant your feet on the bench. Your body is shaking around, very unstable under the bar, because not only are you benching, you're trying to maintain your balance. You need to plant your feet so that you have a solid foundation.
