This is a short video I made on how we test Ipod Music Stations in the Harman International Reference Listening Room using the in-wall speaker mover. Here the speaker mover is configured with a removable shelf and desktop to simulate their acoustical boundary effects found with typical placements of the product. An acoustically transparent curtain hides the identify of the products under test so that the test is "double-blind" A panel of trained listeners evaluate the products based on various sound quality attributes and overall preference.

  • I'd want to see that room come out on top in multiple blind tests against other rooms before I give credit to any test done in it.
