@ToolManJT 87 was the last year of the 6.9 88 was the first year of the 7.3 idid and the motors are identical aside from bore and stroke, and the glow plug relay
-
@stvick4221 sorry buddy but there is no 7.3 in an 88 it's 6.9, and no it wont fit.
-
What kinda gas millage you get I'm about to buy a 93 f350 7.3idi that looks like yours
-
Im gettin a factory turbo system of a 94 7.3 idi will it all bolt up to my 88 7.3 idi or will I have to mod a.bunch of.stuff
-
@smitty67r incorrect. intercooled 7.3 powerstrokes wernt around until the superdutys (2nd gen powerstrokes). both 93 and 94 had turbo idis
-
@allcustomdesigns i have a non turbo'd 7.3 and i get 16 in town.
-
@smitty67r i hate to argue but they did. 1993 you could get a 7.3 idi (indirect injected) n/a and a 7.3 idi factory turbo. 1994 you could get a 7.3 idi n/a a 7.3 idi turbo and a 7.3 direct injected powerstroke. you could get the 7.3 idi turbo and n/a in auto and 5 speed. 7.3 di powerstroke in only a 5 speed in 94. any more questions about these?
-
@hooksmason IDI's never came with a turbo from factory, in 94 you could get a 7.3 N/A, 7.3 with just a turbo, or a 7.3 with intercooler an turbo
-
@southflmudrunners most ats are factory on the idi's. in 1993 and 1994 they offered a turbo version and natrually asperated version. a new turbo kit is any where from 2-3k hope this helps
I get around 14 or so. They are great trucks, easy to work on, last a long time. But the brake calipers suck because they use phenolic pistons, the frame is not boxed so there is a lot of twist. Just remember to use anti-cavitation additive in your coolant; napa kool is the one I buy.
