Evanescence aren't Emo.

They're not a 'Goth' band, per se (Amy Lee would be the first to admit this) - but they're definitely more a gothIC band than in anyway 'emo'.

While that song (My Immortal) may be very emotional & sad - such content does not an 'Emo' band make.

Emos are whingy, whiny little brats who sit around feeling sorry for themselves because their parents told them to put their stereos down & tidy their rooms!

You'd never find Evanescence making a song about something like that!
