@SecretAsianMan09 you need to clean out the cosmoline.
-
@crockerservices08 its now about 24 or 25 cents a shot on all the places i have found them. if you find them that cheap somewhere plese tell me.

@SecretAsianMan09 i have also got empty shells stuck in the chamber. idk why this happens but i have noticed that the shell has been split. i think its because i use surplus ammo and not every shell has the same amount of powder. i bet if you use newer better ammo it wouldnt happen. the ammo that i use was made in 1976
I was looking at three mosins today and a held off. When you lift the bolt up is it supposed to click two times and then slide up and down. One mosins bolt went up and down freely and the other two were harder to lift the bolt before you slid it back.

@SuperJetski1 when they are packed full of cosmolime sometimes you dont hear or feel the clicks.

what was the name of the small black tool you used to straighten the pin? also my m44 jamed after about 20 rounds. the bolt would not even open to eject the empty casing. i had to bring it to a gunsmith to take it out. what would cause this? it was my first time shooting so maybe i didn't clean all of the grease out? im not sure if you could respond that would help out a lot. also the ammo i was using had a silver tip they were not tracer rounds. is this bad? Thank you

@laxkid922 cosmoline left in chamber and surplus ammo. the ammo has a laquer covering to preserve it. it heats and melts when shot. the cosmoline also heats and melts when shot. put the 2 together and it makes glue. "sticky bolt". make sure cosmoline is cleaned out. it is very hard old cosmoline can be like glass finish. I am partial to brake cleaner and a nylon brush mounted on a drill. cleans the cosmoline right out of the chamber
