A couple of things that might help low budget productions make some scenes that are lower cost than filming at the Taj Mahal or White House. Also a suggestion for the use of models and toys in productions.
The 1937 Alfred Hitchcock movie Young and Innocent used some toy train sequences near the end of the movie. If you want to see some real trainwreck scenes in movies I recommend The General with Buster Keaton and The Train with Burt Lancaster. Another excellent scene was in Bridge on the River Kwai. There is also a scene in The greatest Show on Earth that shows a train head on collision. There are some real trainwreck videos here at YouTube, some quite frightening.

  • Thank you.

  • Hi Featureman...this is Blaise in Hollywood. Ha, ha, ha! Long time no see. Great to see that you are still making videos. I just finished an Allstate commercial for the 2009/2010 College Football Season. I'm still doing miniatures, sculpting and other SFX applications. Business has been very slow the last couple of years though. Very hard paying the rent, but surviving. Is there somehow we can communicate via email without my having to publicize my address?

  • Hi, Blaise. I am having a problem leaving a reply to the message. If this works it is my third attempt. If it doesn't work it is my third attempt. I will stay in touch with you. I have just subscribed.

  • all these effects are great...u should show us howta do it...

  • Thanks. Each video editor is a little different from the others but green screen is possible with many editors. I do like Magix because it has many many tracks for the user.
