best of rock band 2 dlc #10.wmv

Band DLC songs for 2009. Gonna set some ground rules first so there's no confusion. This is my own personal list based on what I find fun and enjoy listening to as well. This list is guitar-centric and though most of these have awesome bass/drum/vocal parts in addition to the guitar, the guitar is the focus. These are all songs I would listen to or do listen to outside of the game. You will notice a trend with most of them in that few have fast strummy bits and all are filled with hammer ons. I had to limit myself to one song per artist otherwise most of the list would be by two artists.

The order of the top ten is mostly arbitrary, I had a lot of songs in my mind and it was hard to limit it to just ten so spots 10-3 are fairly equal and in real no special order. The top two songs are the only ones I started out knowing in advance would be my top two while I had to think about the others. They were the songs I played and enjoyed the most all year. There will be a list of honourable mentions when I get the final video up.

Alright, first one up is Porch by Pearl Jam. This came out with the entire Ten album and this song really represents the entire album because it's just all around fantastic. This spot really could have been filled with Once, Even Flow, Black or Why Go, but the bit after the solo in this song is just so damn fun that it put it over the top.
