The Haunting, Chapter Nineteen

Joe: [He sits on a bench and waits for the bell to ring.]
Miley: [She walks out of the school, in fact, she STORMS out, with tears rolling down]
Joe: [He turns around and murmurs.] Dammit.. [He rushes to her side.] Can we talk about this at home?
Miley: [In a cold tone, very upset&hurt from her day, she answers him] No, but I want to go home.. Just get me out of here..
Joe: [Taken back, he feels a sharp pain in her words. He reluctantly and speedily makes their way back home and lays her on the couch.] I'll do ANYTHING to make you feel better..
Miley: I just want to be alone now. [She harshly throws her bag on the couch, and storms upstairs to the room. Slamming the door behind her, she lays on the bed with her face on the pillow]
Joe: [Hurt, he leaves her alone. He feels a few tears trickle down his cheek and his throat become dry. Suddenly, he is overwhelmed with teardrops.]
Miley: [With tears falling, she thinks: I hate him! I hate him! He thinks he rules the school and he can't treat me like shit and then almost rape me!]
Joe: [He begins hearing her thoughts and becoming distorted. He zooms up the stairs and peeks the door open.] Can we talk, love?
Miley: [She sniffles, and doesn't look at him] No..
Joe: Are you hiding something from me?
Miley: I DONT want to talk about it, okay?! [Still not looking at him]
Joe: [He sniffles, trying to hide his prior tears.] Well we don't have to talk about that then..
Miley: I just want to be alone now Joe...
Joe: We don't have to talk it all.. Just a simple, solitaire hug? Please?
Miley: [She doesn't answer. After the awful day she got, she doesn't even want that. She just wants to be alone, with no one talking to her, and without having to talk to anyone]
Joe: I love you with all my heart.. Miley, whatever anyone did to you, I'll try to fix it. Remember that you're beautiful, and you're everything I've ever wanted.
Miley: [She feels a little better by him saying that, but still not enough to answer. She just stays silent]
Joe: [He whispers.] I love you.. [He slowly returns back downstairs feeling hurt.]
Miley: [She doesn't mean to hurt him, but right now she's not in the mood for talking, or hearing, or even looking at anyone. She slowly and quietly climbs down the window, and begins to walk to that mountain Joe took her to when he went hunting]
Joe: [He picks up her scent and begins to follow her.]
Miley: [She reaches the top of that mountain, and sits down, staring at the view. She lifts up her shirt a bit, to see if the small cut on her stomach stopped bleeding. As it did, she puts her shirt back down, and stares at the view once again]
Joe: [He approaches her silently and shyly.] You alright, love?
Miley: [She jumps a bit, and looks over her shoulder at him. She nods a bit, and then looks back at the view]
Joe: [Thoughtlessly, he wraps his arms around her waist, clutching her body close to his. He didn't care how cliché it looked, he didn't care about anything, as long as he was with her.]
Miley: [She feels better in his arms, and lets him hold her. She slowly rests her head on his shoulder, and sighs]
Joe: [He whispers as his eyes come to a close.] Mind talking about it, love?
Miley: [She says lowly] Not yet... [She takes a breath, and closes her eyes]
Joe: [He slowly begins kissing her cheek. Beginning to get carried away, all he wants to do is cheer her up. His lips scoot to meet hers, and he turns her body to face his.]
Miley: [She's not really in the mood, so she doesn't really kiss him back. Though, she lets him kiss her so she doesn't look rude or hurt his feelings]
Joe: [He pulls away and sighs.] Tell me what's going on RIGHT now.
Miley: [Looking down, she almost whispers] No.
Joe: [He lifts her chin.] A boy. He tried to hurt you. He tried to rape you.
Miley: [She's shocked he knows about it, though she doesn't know how. She tries lying to him] That's not true..
Joe: I know what you're thinking. Don't hide it.
Miley: [Her eyes fill up with tears as she gets flashbacks from the moment. She puts her head down, and lets the tears fall]
