Halton Regional Police are investigating the discovery of found human remains in the Town of Milton.

At approximately 2:00 pm on the 22nd of November 2010, Halton Regional Police were called to 6th Line and 20 Sideroad, Nassagaweya Township, Milton to investigate a suspicious article.

Further investigation at the scene located human remains.

Forensic Identification officers attended the area, and officers from the Homicide Unit have taken carriage of the investigation.

20 Sideroad in north Milton is closed to traffic between 6th Line and the Nassagaweya/Esquesing Town Line. It is anticipated the road will be closed throughout the 23rd of November 2010.

The remains will be removed from the scene to Hamilton General Hospital for a post mortem examination.

UPDATE: Found Human Remains -- Milton

At approximately 2:00 pm on the 22nd of November 2010, the Halton Regional Police Service were called to 6th Line and 20 Sideroad, Nassagaweya Township, Milton to investigate a suspicious article.

Further investigation at the scene revealed the article was human remains. Police have identified the deceased as Garfield STEELE, 32 years from Toronto.

The Halton Regional Police Service Homicide Unit has released the scene and traffic flow on 20 Sideroad has been restored.

The Post Mortem examination is ongoing.

The Halton Regional Police Service is continuing to investigate this incident. Anyone with information related to it is asked to contact the Tip Line at 905-825-4776 or by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

UPDATE: Found Human Remains - Milton

Police have identified the deceased as Garfield STEELE, 32 years from Toronto. Mr. STEELE had been reported missing to the Toronto Police Service on November 11. He was last seen in Toronto on November 3rd.
