@mav613003 No, I was in the 17.SS. The scrim was best out of three. We won two very easily, the third was a very good close fight, a 29th victory. It was a few years ago.

I will admit I've been out of gaming since about 2009, but the 29th we witnessed in 2008-2009 was not a top tier unit. Numbers aren't everything.

@Puska35M All the scrimms the 29th have been in they have only ever lost one to the 2nd SS now either yur telling Porkys to make yurself look good....or you were in the 2nd SS which is it...and from wat i've read it was close...nonethless this BCT was not a good look and the majority of 29ths didnt like wat they saw regardless of weather this guy was Trolling or not...and changes were made people were talked to about it so the 29th does look at these issues...

They couldn´t even such an easy situation like taking down a jeep. Reminds me playing in a "Tactical" Arma 2 clan for 1 day. Requesting permission for take off at the airfield, adress clanmembers at their ranks, etc. And then we encountered a small enemy squad and everything went to hell, they even were too stupid to give me covering fire so i could pull 2 wounded members into cover.

@DeadlyDad I remember you too, from back in 2008. One of the ones who was always on the DH forums trying to glorify the 29th. It might not occur to you, but most people play games to have fun, not to stand around getting yelled at by others. It's units like your 29th ID that give realism gaming a bad name. Real fans of realism know that the most successful units used realistic and historically accurate combat tactics, not realistic and historically accurate treatment of recruits in boot camp.

I remember the 29th from back in 2008, when I was in a German Realism unit. They spent all of their time running drills like this, and never joined any of the campaigns which all the other realism units took part in (even though there was a lack of Allied units). When my unit finally did get them to do battle they caved in like a house of cards. Quite possibly the worst realism unit I've ever seen. Thanks for an insiders view.
