After voting for Kerry, to derail Bush from getting a second term, I was solidly against trying to do the say in the Obama/McCain vote. I was almost sure Obama would be no different than Clinton (bill), and he would just continue things on the same course.
I think all real liberals have been sifted out of politics. Its only between the Mods and Cons. (What's the Matter with KS?) Moderates, pro-buisness/indifferent on social issues
Conservatives, pro-business/ outrages on social 'issues'.

@danberkeley Of course Obama is a capitalist. If Obama weren't a capitalist, why the enormous amount of capitalist support for his campaign? Why has he been quicker to use government to help corporations than to help unions or other popular-democratic groups? Why does he buy into the "competitiveness" rhetoric of the capitalist right? Obama as capitalist a president as we've ever had.

I don't know if Barack is directly responsible... at any rate, exports grew--that could mean a few things--it isn't clear that it's because we've built _more_ weapons. Although, obviously, we're building way too many as it is.
