  • can you recommend a jig that is good for fanned frets?

  • @JoylessBrotato This jig is not designed for doing fan frets. You will need to come up with your own method of doing that.

  • @JoylessBrotato why would ye want fanned frets?

  • Not bad, better than free-hand sawing.

  • The first cut is the deepest

  • This is not manual. I mark the slots with a pen and cut them by hand and eye. No jigs or guides other than the depth stoppers. Could be why I have no problem doing multi-scale necks ( fanned fret )

  • what if you neck and fretboard is one solid piece of maple?

  • looks like over engineering to me

  • when you do this, remember to save the ebony/rosewood dust. it will come in handy when it's time to inlay
