Who the fuck cares about who wins a race about going around a track. Everyone wants the crash to happen, and then when it dose you feel bad. Its why ppl still watch is to see ppl die, sorry to say but humans are fucked up.

@RogerHerhard Not much racing skill involved in turning left. It's a ridiculous form of racing, to give it credit for spectator value only is crazy. One car looses control, and 20 others get smashed up.. so safety is rather non existent.

tragedys like this should never happen

What a sad sad day in Racing!! Dan RIP! I pray for his wife and two children. God help them!
Indy car is a smaller shitter wannabe version of Formula 1 and being regulated by Americans it isn't up to a standard especially with safety. open wheeled cars raced on a track like that in the first is just not right. Seriously open wheeled cars that are purpose built for racing going that fast should have far better safety standards. these days an accident like that would never happen in F1, F2, F3 or formula ford. governing body is to blame for this.

@jamabar what a load of shit. I love both series but many of the major safety changes in Formula One have COME FROM Indycar series. It is certainly not a wannabe version of F1, its nothing like F1. They have their own style of racing, rules, promotion and in many ways the presentation & fan treatment and racing is much better. Try attending a race meeting for both Indy and F1 and see the difference. I'd actually say F1 need to take a look at some of the aspects of presentation etc from Indy.
