This video was made so we could share our vacation with you. We boarded The Carnical Triumph in New Orleans on July 4th enroute to Progresso Mexico. We arrived in Progress the morning of July 6th an
thanks for sharing this video ! I am leaving in April on the Triumph out of Galveston to go on this same trip. this will be my first time to cruise and just a little nervous hehe ! We are thinking bout doing the snuba excursion just not sure yet. I love quality of the GoPro Hero HD did you use it for your still shots too ??? Thanks again !
@DarleneW2009 I used the GoPro for the still photos taken in and underwater. It works just as good taking still photos as it does video but I would use the video mode and take screen shots for still photos next time. Something I learned on the cruise is the shore excursions are cheaper if you don't book them through Carnival. The only down side is when you book with Carnival your excursions are insured, meaning if it gets canceled you get your money back.
@maryshue All of the underwater pictures were taken with a GoPro Hero HD. While I was looking for a waterproof camera I found most were only waterproof to around 10 feet. The GoPro is waterproof up to around 160 feet i believe. GoPro is also very durable, search YouTube to see what people have filmed with them. Hope this helps you, I have been very happy with the camera.
hey very cool vacation .. the snuba how did you find it .. they claim you dont need to pressurize your ears as its all inside the helmet .. I have a earing issue and cant snorkel and am wondering about trying this while belize this year any info would be great thanks
@DrMucker I don't know how snuba would be for your ears but if you can't snorkel I doubt you would be able to snuba. The helmet isn't pressurized but your ears will pop as you descend into the water, similar to flying. The helmet lower half of the helmet fills with water to keep it on your shoulders. Hope this helps you, the cruize ship had the snuba as an excursion.
@maryshue I have a Fujifilm FinePix XP10 12MP Digital Camera with 5x Optical Zoom. It takes wonderful underwater pictures/video and it is just over a $100. Hope this helps!
