Through My Eyes (by Pure/Derrick's First Poem)

This is my sophomore year in college and as I've grown up to become a mature person, I've noticed one thing never changes. I always hear the words: "There's never any good men around" come from a special young woman, who feels that there's no one in the world willing to treat her right. Truth be told ladies, there's MANY men who are willing to do so. But I didn't make this video to argue about that. Recently, I've become a poet under the alias Pure (inspired by a old friend's suggestion), and I decided for my first poem to be my personal response to that statement. This poem is coming from my point to view, to all the lovely ladies who feel that no men appreciate them. I hope you all enjoy it ^_^

~Through My Eyes~
They said you were a whore...they said you were worthless...
They said you weren't attractive & they said you were flat-chested...
They judged your appearance; never your personality...
but now it's time for people to get a taste of reality
You're not the girl next door & you're far from being perfect...
but as far as having respect & true love, you are worth it
You never ever cheated, nor have you been unfaithful...
but one thing you've always been your entire life, is beautiful
I loved to make you laugh & spend time with you weekly
You always said you looked fat but in my eyes, I only saw beauty
You always cared for your friends, you were a ride-or-die chick...
but all guys could ever think about was having you on their dick
They always tried to spit game, they were just like all the rest...
They wanted to undress you and use you only for sex
Your body is amazing, blazing, and it is truly phenomenal!
but all those little boys cared about, was going up and down with you, doing verticals...
I see you more than a sexy sculpture...I see you on the inside...
I see a heart filled with passion, a smile brighter than the sunshine
Intellect that's so great that numbers can't describe
Elegance that's so stunning that makes preachers ask God how
something so magnificent could exist before us now?
You may not have muscles, but I know you're a strong woman!
because you can do everything that everyone else said you couldn't
You make your own decisions & have your own thoughts
Everything about you is exquisite, from the way you walk & talk
So don't stress off the opinions & judgments from other guys
because you are a angel...
