AMRIT - Drum Solo 2010

Performing at the Give Thanks To Bellydance show. November 19, 2010 at the Art of Bellydance studio in miami Beach.

Funny Story: I was originally going to perform an Arabic pop song but due to technical difficulties I had to search and find a track to dance to at the Last minute! The moment I found this drum solo the last dancer finished her set! So within 60 seconds, I found this track, walked on stage and performed it without any rehearsing! Here is the performance!

(2cd post) It makes it very difficult to watch some of them, particularly if their costuming does not accentuate their masculinity. (Honestly it's rather a visual 'turn off'.) I've really enjoyed watching your videos specifically because you've managed to not lose the masculinity of your movements while also dancing very well. I truly hope all of us get to enjoy watching your dances for quite some time to come. :)

(1st post) Let me preface this by saying that I don't mean this to be offensive to anyone whatsoever, it's simply something I've noticed and this was the best way I could think of to explain it late at night. I've watched quite a few male belly dancers and something that has always struck me as rather sad is that the majority of them -although dancing wonderfully -seem to be feminizing the movements to make them work 'properly', and it's Very visible...
