i think you will loose that whistle, but power gain wise if you live in a usually hot area, get the CAI. Also try the Cosmo CAI, there the same design as the Injen only cost 1/3rd the price.

lol @ u guyz anyway. i have a 2000 maxx and i want the Injen intake pipe. I put a cone filter on and i get this cool whistle noise when i shift and when im about to pull off. i wanted to kno if i put on the Injen will i still get the cool whistle noise. Thanks

Actually it does, listen to this video , watch?v=UZh3bl-LJzE , Jeremy Clarkson is driving am R34 Skyline. Listen in at 1:27 , any owner of a 95-99 Maxima will tell you it sounds the same, at least from the inside.
