i always wondered... don't you ever get warm wearing a hijab in the hot summer seasons? Hijab sure looks cozy in the winter though!

@VlogwithEmma if you wear the wrong fabric during the sumer it can be hot. I like to wear cool sheer and silky like fabrics during the summer and cotton like fabrics during winter :)

There is a Muslim lady in my class. She wears hijab. She will not even look at me. I always look at her beautiful face, but she will not look at me. But, it turns out, this made me respect her. Still, a smile would be polite.

yes you can look modest without hijab. But hijab is the highest and most humble level of modesty. It is the ultimate symbol of spritual royalty (even though some ignorant girls wear it for fashion or to look sexy; defeating it's purpose)

@zontar4444 I agree, CHOICE is important in my opinion too. However standards that you mentioned your post is a key problem. Who defines standards and how can we all agree on that standards. because as I free man living in a free country I should be able to walk outside naked. But If I did this I will not only be beaten up in the street I will also be arrested and sent to jail. And I can assure you that even yourself who is promoting CHOICE wouldn't stand up to protect my CHOICE.

@BlackPower991 I'm all for modest dress, but the central idea is about CHOICE. It's not a man's job to dictate how a woman MUST dress. And it's not a woman's job to dictate how I dress. I don't go around killing/beating women who don't dress according to my standards, and I expect the same in return. Is that too complicated?

@hijabiflower the problem is, is that it IS sexy! i know that's not the intent and i have the utmost respect for what the girls that wear the Hijab are trying to do, but wow! i really dig Arab girls who wear it.

Everybody dressed modestly. Not just Muslims. if you go back only about 50 years or so in Europe. Women did dress modestly with long dresses and even scarves to cover their hair. in the Bible stated by St Paul if a women shows her hair as a punishment her hair would need to be shaved off. so modesty has always been the norm until the so called liberation of women in the 60s were the idea of the more naked you are the more civilised you become was promoted by the media.
