Wrong equation in the video at 40 mins into the video--it should be ni=(NcNv)^(1/2)exp(-(Eg/(2KT))). (See Streetman, "Solid State Electronic Devices, Sixth Edition", Pearson: New Jersey, Pg. 93, eq. Engineers laughing, funny jokes about diodes, the speaker was great. Very tough subject to spruce up but he pulled it off. Skillful use of tone, inflection and timing all ads up to a fun to watch and useful video. Thanks so much for posting.
