Star Trek: Secret of Vulcan Fury

This is a trailer to an old Trek game that never made it to the shelves, its a pity as it looked pretty decent. It was being Developed by Interplay and was due for a 1998 release however it got cancelled due to the cost of the development and the fact interplay were struggling money-wise. Pity no one picked up the project. :(

If they have the recordings of all stars, especially of those that have passed away, then this game could still be picked up by someone with enough brains... and money.

All that needs to be done, is a updated graphics engine, like HL2 for example. I believe this game would be a seller.

@Techrat3D I'm hopeful (maybe pointlessly) that this might be the case. Afterall Duke Nukem Forever has finally risen up from the ashes. Why can't this? But yeah ultimately it would all come down to whether the original recordings were saved.

Graphically speaking a lot of the cut scenes had been completed and they still look decent enough, a little remastering however wouldn't go a miss.

I was waiting for this game to be released so many years ago, never seen this trailer before but I saw other trailer and an advertisement piece for it listed as supplimental merchandise.

Why wasn't it released?

Or was it but just under a different title name?

Interplay were gonna release it but had huge issues financially. The game was pretty much complete but got thrown on the scrapheap! No one picked it up boo!!

To the owners of the rights to create this video, I, and I'm sure millions of Star Trek fans, would be happy to pay good money to have this as a game, or even as a video episode! If the dialog was already recorded, they could go light years beyond this already great animation and create a historic original Star Trek episode! Star Trek Lives!
