I get this as well. The only workaround is to reinstalled the display drivers, befor starting the game. And I have to do this each time I Play!
At least when I do play the reqrd is worth the effort for now and if there where no new maps comming, I would loose intrest and go play something else.
The gaming fun just has to last until March when Mass Effect 3 comes out. That is when I trade in my camos, for a space suite.

@MrArti29 Rofl...this has nothing to do with the hosts file. Look up HOSTS and you'll find out what its for...or i could just tell you. Hosts file is for redirecting a site to another site, or to gain access to a site which has recently been bugged. In this case, this patch has fucked battlelog..but it wont fix it, unless there were an entry exactly for battlelog (no point..unless your a moron) :D!

I have managed to fix this issue, in the end punkbuster hadnt updated with the patch even though I had manually installed it countless times, finally found that the pnkbstrA.exe was failing to initialise due to windows 7 UAC, you may be able to fix this issue by disabling UAC if on vista or win 7 then restart your machine.
