  • bitch please, the mockers are from the 60's.

an uruguayan band.. who got their name from a hard days night.

    LOS MOCKERS.

  • Also I think there was an Australian band called The Mockers.

  • This ain't the Mockers.

  • This is The Mockers because I SAY it's The Mockers! And because this was the greatest band that ever called themselves The Mockers.

  • Dave Eddy filmed it, I know because me and Arlan Helm were there at the time. We met Dave and the guy making and monitoring this recording on his home studio board. Kris Hoover is totally gorgeous and could write, sing, play guitar and drums. And of course we know what Val was capable of.

  • IT'S LIKE THIS===THE MOCKERS ARE from NEW ZEALAND/ MOCKERS from USA / and LOS MOCKERS from URUGUAY and probably some more MOCKERS,but problem is they all not that good, even KIWI is best!God bless!

  • @forestdweller958 New Zealand

  • @HBK1337: "What's in a name? That which we call a rose

By any other name would smell as sweet." Shakespeare (or "Shakers"peare :-)

  • I sing a song from the Los Shakers every night here in Buenos Aires. Come over and listen.

  • Val and the Beatbirds made some really great music for awhile in the late eighties especially and only for people in Los Angeles.

I had dealings with Val, the band's creator, but probably the person best suited to comment and trade right now is Forrestdweller958 here on You Tube.

The band came together at the tail end of the "golden age of Los Angeles Girl Bands" period of 1980 thru 1990

  • That's right, they were from Uruguay, but the Los Shakers were pretty good too with their Beatles and Kinks via Rockabilly sound.

  • Let's see: "Back in the day I traded VHS tapes with Dave"... "Some of his old roommates stole items from him"... hmm, those sure sound like two totally different concepts to me.

    You have issues, man.

  • Some of Daves old roommates stole items from him - are you one of those?

  • Now why in the world would I make up a lie, especially about a band nobody even heard about except, well, you, me, and a couple of other people posting here (no disrespect to the girls, of course).

I traded VHS tapes with Dave back in the day and new Michelle for years, I didn't claim to know Madonna and Britney Spears for fuck's sake.
