@yusra901 Hey, I've been wondering the same thing because I have a lot of free pdf ebooks, legit, that I want to read on my e-reader. I did see a program on the market, sorry don't remember the name, which converts pdf's into word files with structure, graphics etc intact. Well the packaging said it does anyway. But as soon as I can I will get it. Then from a well defined word file, converting to a e-reader format should be a snap.

@MyVutha I have looked for information on other languages, and have yet to find your answer. I will continue to look and post anything I find.

@UnrulyGuides In addition, PDF is an "end-product" - in otherwords it is not intended to be "converted" -- so you will have issues. There just isn't any way to convert the PDF into another format perfectly.

@pp2devane Calibre works for both Mac or PC; Mobipocket is Windows only

@mercy2mercy You can't preserve the tables and charts unless they are graphics. Mobi and Epub files are based on HTML, and reflowable text. Tables do not convert or display well on e-readers.
Is there anyway to keep the PDF formatting the same? Because when I convert my PDF to this format the structure of the document is totally off! Im trying to download a chapter of a textbook and the pictures/charts wont show up along with the table of contents, and basically everything is really off!

@yusra901 Unfortunately No. A PDF is what they call an "end product". It isn't meant to be converted into another format, so when you try, it is all messed up - especially on books with columns, tables and image position. If you want to create a book for publication from a PDF, then you will need to do a lot of clean up -- there isn't any way around this. The best way to publish is to start from the original word file and create your epub or mobi book. -- suz

is it possible to convert mobi into pdf ?
TheManks23 2 months ago
@TheManks23 It should be possible, but I have yet 2 make it work. In Calibre, I end up (PDF) with a black pg w/ a white box. Create the PDF from UR original or..
And this is really stretching, take the .epub
Extract the files (change the .epub to .zip & open)
Take the HTML or Xhtml file and post to your blog under one category
Convert Blog to PDF using Blog2Print com or similar
You want to be able to select the category you put the posts. You can delete the posts when done.

@pp2devane Oops, wrong video lol. I was watching old video and somehow accidentally got to the new video.....

@pp2devane No problem. If you want to convert from PDF to Kindle (on a MAC) for READING purposes, then you can use Calibre -- but if you intend to publish on Amazon, then you will need to do some editing. Calibre does not allows you to get into the HTML, so I recommend convert PDF to text or HTML and then edit with SIGIL or Dreamweaver.
