After reading through the comments, I must agree. I've found that death metal/screamo is more complex and musically impressive than most other genre's (except classical music?). The lyrics are meaningful and carefully chosen to portray a well thought out, powerful message. The harmony and melody of all instruments (including the voice) are much more intricate than most any music you'll find today. I also find that many songs such as this refer to intellectual happenings and important events.

its ok, i once too hated this music and was very ignorant. Death Metal is what you would call an acquired taste (in my opinion, more rewarding) I also way back when went for the cookie cutter hits of the industry and knew nothing of what this music could offer. Most people are in a stupor and latch onto what is accessible immediately, radio hits with catchy hooks, anything that lacks substance. This music doesnt offer these men money, but a chance to do what they're passionate about.
