  • I didnt know who you were this time last year. When I attended Gen conf in SLC in Oct. I flew home knowing I stood in the same room as The Prophet of God!!!

Thank you for strengthining my testimony.

    Love you President Hinckley

  • I hope that I can do half as much as him, he truly lived a very full and meaningful life!

  • Hinckley once said, "We cannot know the future..."

That's odd! Prophets--anciently--saw the future (through their gift, as seers).

Gordon Bittner Hinckley was a simple "Aw, shucks" pretender. Period.

  • HINCKLEY: (was) NOT A PROPHET:

A mechanic fixes cars; a carpenter builds houses (they are both known for what they do). A prophet is known by what he does: he prophesies (or, has done so, already).

A mechanic who cannot nor does not fix vehicles is no mechanic: I wouldn't hire him. A carpenter who cannot build a house is not a carpenter. A Prophet who cannot prophesy is a puff of smoke and a charlatan. A Seer who does not see also does NOT have that specific gift, either.

  • @Tr3v0rizzle there is no marriage in heaven, it's in the bible.

  • You're right. I'm sorry I thought we were still talking about polygamy on Earth. Now I believe that it is possible to love two people just as strong as it is to love one. Assuming that one has died. Just like it is possible to have two best friends at once. Nobody is guaranteed godhood. That is only by your actions on Earth. That I know for sure. I'm not saying go out and marry 50 people, I'm just saying that we all need a companion to support us, and if one dies than we need another to be happy

  • Then you do not know your churches teachings... my Uncle married a wife and she died in a train wreck, then 5 years later he married again in the temple, and is promised that both of his wifes will be in heaven, because they did abide byall the laws, and were garrenteed godhood.

  • I believe that it happened. But it does not happen anymore in my church. And no, there will be only one wife that was the elect. That wife was chosen, and will remain the ONE for all eternity!

  • Funny, hmm... you guys still believe that a man if he marries two women on earth, assuming one dies, he will therefor have 2 wifes in heaven. You do not believe in practicing it here on earth but, it still applies in heaven, if you still believe in the concept you stil believe in it.

  • Ah yes it is! But we have proclaimed that polygamy is over, and will be over forever! Now why don't you go play with your pokemon cards instead of attack my church!

  • You still believe that Doctrine and Covenants page 132, Polygamy is still in your doctrine and accepted into your church so don;t lie and pretend you don't believe it.

  • The LDS ladies are so beautiful ;)
