This is a lot different than when I took my Basic Training at Lackland from Sept. to Dec. in 1950. We had wooden barracks that had cracks in the walls and in the wood floors. We froze our butts off on those cold nights. Tried to stuff paper & rags in cracks. Didn't work too good. Ever try scrubbing wood floors? No fun! I'm now 82 years old but I look back and consider those times as "Good ol days". Proud to have served!

you mean they let women and men train together, lol air force well wtf is basic training all about? you have video cameras; i have to say I am lost where was the real training here and wtf was up with the blue rifles; did you take those to the range to qualify? And why were the rifles not secured to your racks?

@blumac81 No kidding, they must have changed that. I went through basic in 1999, most of the flights were all male, but some had females in them, on occasion we'd even have lessons in their dayroom, their place always smelt nice (or at least better than the guy's dorm lol)

@encyluv getting yelled at goes away when you learn to do what your told without actually being told to do it... when an MTI has to open their mouth, is when the yelling occurs =)
