@UK Hoggy - You did not read my comment very closely. - I know my abilities and strengths, limits and capabilities.(think what you like) I did not intent to undermine this epic feat (riding this with no crew and the route he rode!) However, given the right variables(full support crew, financial, etc.) I am stating what I know I am capable of (120 - 150 days) As for breaking 100 days, it will be done someday-NOT BY ME but by an accomplished RAAM rider who crosses USA in under 12 days dude!!!

@ulfthegoon Oh come on.... breaking 100 days, i highly doubt that even if you are ridiculously fit. Its a marathon and not a sprint. And of course its logistics... its alright people saying that but to actually do it is something else and half the battle is raising funds and planning routes. Cycling is only 1 part of it. This guy did amazingly and you are trying to undermine that. Come back with your story after you have done it, then i will like your comment but until then, its all talk!

To add to my previous comment, I know several Ultra guys who might even break 100 days. Just a question of logistics. Again, thanks for this wonderful story.

If I could get the time off work and have crew with me....I,d be able to comfortably ride the 18,000 miles in 120-150 days. If anyone wants to help get me on the road I will be very grateful :) In 2010, I rode 16,200 miles mainly bike commuting miles, weekend brevets and permanents, along with a few long rides. If only I had the sponsorship, I'd be doing incredible things on the bike!!! Of course, not to undermine what this guy did.....Simply amazing!!!!

I'm delighted to hear from you and even more delighted to know you are buying Miles From Nowhere!!.........(please don't read the back cover until the end!!) and don't miss: Full Tilt by Dervla Murphy...great reading! Also a non-biking book called, The Glass Castle
You are more than awesome! R U planning to write a book?
-
thank you so much im read the first 10 pages of miles from nowhere online and am going to buy the book and maybe full tilt

You sound like a bike riding chump. You must be trying to make up for your small penis or fragile ego by posting this. You'll never stack up to have half the balls of this guy riding around the world.

pezpadina sounds like a pussy. Try riding a double century, or a 10,000+ ft. climb.
My life goal is to beat that record.
