This is a no-death run of Raiden Trad on the HARD setting for the Sega Genesis. No bombs were used until the very last stage (stage 9, the extra "Special Stage" that appears after the regular game is beaten, where you pretty much MUST use 2-3 bombs to even survive).

Disclaimer - this was done on an emulator using save states, so this video is a display of the entire game, not necessarily a display of my skills.

I did this video for 2 reasons - 1. Because I like the game, and 2. Because I have never even read about anyone ever defeating the extra "Special Stage", let alone seen a video for it. I'm pretty sure no one ever has beaten this stage on a real console, and it's almost impossible to beat it even using save states like I did. I could be wrong though, so if there IS anyone who ever has beaten this stage w/out using save states and such, you are definitely THE MAN (or woman)!

  • Not really a fan of Micronet's instrumentation choices for the main music in this game.

  • well, after those comments that favor Genesis, no offense against SNES, but there are really several Nintendon'ts after all.

and I also admit the Genesis version has better quality in music and interface than the SNES one.

  • Wow the sound effects for this version sound so...weird after playing the SNES version for so many years..

  • Whaaooouuu!! Thank you dude for bringing back all those good memories!!

  • @JasonLee215 Dude play super raiden for Japanese pc engine duo (SUper cd) it blows all these versions away with redbook audio and 2 extra levels.

  • OMG HAX....im jk, good job dude, that was legit

  • I like the Atari Jaguar version of this game the best.

  • This game looks awesome but MUSHA is still my favorite spaceship shooter of all time:)

  • Maybe Not the Super NES or Game Boy the Single Player Shooting Game Version Just Well

  • It's interesting how the hard seting for this game is roughly equivalent to the easy/normal setting for most shooters released these days. Also, the boss of this stage reminds me of the boss of the new Raiden on 360, which is a must buy.
