It's made front page of all our newspapers for the past few years

good video, here in canada we cant get any type of "Military" style rifle, but SKS's are cheap as hell. 189 for a unissued mil-spec (chinese) sks. 150 bucks for a refurbished russian sks. 7.62x39 is plentiful and cheap around 200 bucks for 1500 rnds. Accessories are few, but we just have to deal with it. We dont have a chinese weapon ban here, so with the flood of cheap chinese guns, it drives prices down. CHicom ar-15 for 600 bucks. (need restricted license)

Damn... Those were the days, when the sks was just as cheap as the mosin-nagant is today. Over time, they got more valuable, as more people bought them. Sooner or later, the mosin-nagant will also go up in price, so get them, while they're still 70 dollars.

@TheBananus If I was planning on going head to head with a trained professional military force I would consider the sks to be less than the perfect choice but anyone who plans on going head to head with a trained military force is pretty much insane. As an independent survival weapon that can be depended on to go bang every time you pull the trigger, the sks is perhaps unparalleled.

I jut paid $318 for a chinese rifle, pouches are about 10 bucks ammo is $250 for 1000
