  • oh wow very well done. My grandfather was a B-24 pilot in the 15th 455th bomb group out of Italy. On on July 22 1944 on a raid on Ploesti my gradfather had been not aloud to fly due to a sinus infection that caused bleeding from the ears on a mission the day before. His copilot took the helm on that mission and his plane and crew did not return. Something lived with until his pasing in August 1995. Love you grandpa

  • Your video honors these brave men who risked everything to give future generations a world free of tyranny. My Dad survived 38 bombing missions and when I sent this video to my brother, we both agreed his courage as a B-24 gunner was his great gift to us. Watching the films, I thought about those young men who died in combat and never had the chance to marry or raise a family. Their sacrifice is beyond words. I can never repay them, but I will never forget them.

  • You should make a tribute to the b-26 marauder, now that one would be enough to bring any man to tears, they just flat out got chewed to hell

  • As a boy I saw a Liberator shot down over Manila in 1944. Some of the crew bailed out. Japanese were shooting at them I was crying at the sight. I found out that the entire crew perished. Some are MIA and I think 3 are buried in the American Military Cemetary

  • That's some awesome B-24 footage with appropriate stirring music.

My Dad was a B-24 pilot and I love the subject.

    Thanks for posting.

  • The Music makes this a very melancholy tribute.

  • my grandfather was 2nd Lt Patrick Murphy who piloted a b-24j in the 15 army air corp 455th bomb group 740th squad. He and his navagator were the only ones to make it home. The rest died over ploestie on July 22, 1944. A loss he never got over. thanks for the tribute

  • If I had the money and was given the choice of a B-17 to restore and fly or a B-24. The B-17 can rot. No disrespect to the fortress, but this plane does not get the creit it deserves. I would ask the familes of veterans that flew in the plane that if their loved one was cremated would I be able to intern a small vile of their ashes in the plane so they can ride one last time for eternity...

  • WHOOO~! Da B-24 Liberator~!
