This is not a definitive "how to" guide but basically how I did it. Muse-Overdue because I was supposed to post this months ago. ;-)

Hope you find the video entertaining and informative (how not to guide probably). For more information about the project or the £999 challenge have a look through my Youtube channel or visit http://www.ppcmag.co.uk and feel free to join in.

  • @THE79SOL I used 3mm after taking a vernia gague to the original glass. I wanted the drivers door window to slot back into the channel so it would still function. Persex can become brittle in UV light so you need Pollycarbonate/Lexan. It works out about the same price as well.

  • thanks

  • @sparklerbombg I can't post links on here Youtube's security setting won't allow them. If you go into eBay community and search for....

    gfgplasticfabricationsltd

...this is who I buy from. :-)

  • who sells lexan "sheets"

  • @sparklerbombg I got mine from eBay. :-)

  • yay e36!

  • Mate , what was the width of sheets ? I am tired of looking door glass for my old honda civic 1994 , and thinking about make it from ACRYLIC Perspex Plastic Sheet . Is it will be all right temperary ?

  • @1973mazdarx4coupe Rear screen I hope. Most scrutuneers won't allow pollycarbonate windscreens. The reason I suggest aking a mold was beacuse it could be done without exposing the car to the elements. Provided you're using a maximum 3mm thick sheet there's no reason why it wouldn't do into the original window rubbers or flex round if it needs to be stuck down.

  • @TheLiquidKnight i could just put it over the orignal windscreen and then heat it up ! thanks for your help !

  • @TheLiquidKnight Clap this into place and allow to cool down before fitting. All the best with your project Rob
