This clip is from a film by Fritz Baumann called "Al Oud". It shows a couple of different stages of the production of one of these fine instruments. This clip also has footage of Abdo Dagher jamming on the violin. The luthier is Egyptian, but I don't know who he is. Can anyone help me with that?

Very nice watching something like this. I am from Bangladesh. There was a small workshop making traditional Bangladeshi instruments with all hand tools. I used to sit their for hours watching them bring those seemingly worthless materials to life. Thank you very much. Hope there will be more. Shokran Ma'Assalama.
