I love that video of Celebedach rehearsing this piece with the Radio Symphony Orchestra Stuttgart. Just shows how much goes into the final product. Barenboim knows what I'm talking about.

Question for @BerlinPhil,
why are there so many different wind players each concert? Now is not a huge example, but sometimes i see a complete difference in the wind players. even in the principle wind players!!! like emmanuel i think his name is? (first flute?) he is in this concert, but in other videos, he is not.....same thing with clarinets, other flutes, oboes, bassoons.....why is that? normally an orchestra has only the few wind players (unless they are substitutes)

@sportsfan1937 It is partly because the orchestra gives more concerts (about 130 a year) than it can perform with own forces. In addition there are several vacant positions covered by substititutes, and we have the mambers of our Orchestra Academy who play in the orchestra on a regular basis.
