Here I am, in NYC, at the Statue of Liberty convention, singing Warren Michaels' Lady by the sea.

The second song marks the achievement of yet another dream - to sing the Star Spangled Banner(my favorite song) in the USA, LIVE! I have wanted to do this for such a long time, as I am very fond of the USA, and it means so very much to me that I got the opportunity to sing that song on American soil, and
to friends I had made on the internet, and new friends that I made right there.

It was a surprize to me when they all joined in but, randomness wins the day as this just made it better -aside from the fact it made it more difficult to hear the backing track, but it went well, and they all enjoyed it, and I got a lot of positive comments from them afterwards- and apparently I had made some of them tear up!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Convention- meeting other people who share my interest in Lady Liberty. It was wonderful, and I have already marked it in the diary in my head to make sure I attend the next convention in 2011, for Miss Libertys 125th birthday!
She's gonna need that big torch of hers just to light the candles!

I love that Lady so very very much, ahe is what makes me so very happy, and I am so glad I got this wonderful opportunity to meet her for myself and see her with my own eyes, and be close to her and spend time with her, and meet others who love her too

  • Great Job :D

  • Thank you so much for singing the anthem I wrote for Lady Liberty in 1984....this anthem has been archived in the museum library since 1986....you did a beautiful job with great feeling, I'm always grateful when someone appreciates "Lady By The Sea" and to think that it was my song you chose to perform at the convention touches me deeply...

  • wow, that was wonderful! You can really sing! Loved it!

  • Wish i could be with my La_Princesse again. *Crying* That song is soooo touching

  • 5:23 to 5:45 is a load of clapping because she did great on the first song, if your like me you wanna get right into the content. 5:45 is where she starts into the national anthem which she does beautifully.

The first song I have never heard nor has mom but we both agree you did it great!

hope to see more videos soon!

that fish eye does no justice in doors, i cant wait to see it really perform outdoors!

  • Theres gonna be a few comments from me.

First some of you might not understand the beginning too well, if you cant process multiple voices its hard

vincve says/ amanda experienced and i use that word liberally - her dream.. her dream to make it to the crown (others agree) - and I was there - she experienced it! (people laugh) brian- she got her moneys worth! (people laugh again) if you take all the minutes we spent in the crown and added them - she was still up there (more laughing)
