ATWT 8-7b: Luke guilts Holden; Deceitful Lily is digusting and pathetic; Gay Henry gets a cowboy hat

WATCH PART 1 FIRST, IT HAS LUKE
With Sofie's death, Lily is the most disgusting, repulsive and pathetic creature on ATWT...

1:30 - Mike: "Carly, wait" Mike is so naive that he doesn't understand why Carly wants to avoid Lily.
2:50 - Lily: "Thank you so much" Er, why is she thanking Mike? Pathetic Lily invited herself to lunch.
3:02 - Poor Mikey ... look at his face.
3:45 - Lily: "Cancel lunch? You must really hate Bordeaux." Lily is so focused on herself that she seriously has no concept that Mike is uncomfortable. Or that he wants to leave
3:48 - Mike: "What I hate is playing games" FINALLY, someone confronting Lily with the truth!
3:58 - Lily: "What's more humiliating than throwing yourself at a man?" The sad thing is that just last year, Lily did the same thing with Dusty. He loved Emily and told her repeatedly, yet she chased him like a pathetic puppy. He even stood he up and refused to return phone calls, yet she threw herself at him. Lily even ruined Chris and Emily's lives because of Dusty. Yet like her constant lying, Lily never learns and repeats her behavior
4:50 - Mike: "unsolicied advice" Holden and Carly are too guilty, and Luke is just being illogical, but finally, we have someone objective to let Lily know her faults
4:54 - Lily: "I have worked so hard to try to get our marriage back" Oh puhleeze! She repeatedly deludes herself with that myth to play martyr. The truth is that upon returning, she started with a lie to get rid of the kids so that she could seduce Holden. Not once did she acknowledge that Holden was hurt and needed time to recover. He even though he told her so. Ladies, we men can't perform sexually when we're upset. She just kept pressuring him because she wanted to have sex. It was always her needs. To get her way, she screamed, she lied, she tried using guilt, and finally decided to take the kids away without consulting him or the kids first (only later did the girls agree). Given that she abandoned them just weeks before (without saying goodbye), and left them at Thanksgiving, and caused other harm to them (Faith's bulimia, Ethan's poisoning) -- and has been generally unstable -- no court would have awarded her the kids over Holden.

Even when things were okay, Lily continually smothered Holden. One time, he had to do something by the pond. She immediately said, "Good, I'll make us some sandwiches and we can have lunch together." It was constantly like that; he had no breathing space or alone time. Get Lily a hobby and a vibrator!

Hypocritically, when Lily needed time to think, she just left the kids and drove off. Not once did Holden pressure her when she neded to be alone. In fact, she refused to say when she was returning and basically surprised him with her arrrival. And immediately expected him to perform sexually.
5:04 - Mike: "What about you, pretending to be interested in me. Wasn't that a lie?" You go Mikey! Marry me.
5:30 - Mikey: "Have you even tried?" Exactly, Lily's self-pitying is a defense mechanism to cover up all her own failings these past 3 years (since I've been watching)
5:48 - Lily: "and he wasn't exactly forgiving" But was he a destructive vengeful maniac who has frequent outbursts and attempts murder?
6:29 - Oakdale geography is obviously very different than most places. People seem to be able to quickly drive to the farm on a whim. From what I've seen, Emma's farm is surrounded by a lot of barren land so it seems to be at least a few hours drive from Olde Towne, The Lakeview, Oakdale University, etc.
8:17 - Lily: "I can't live with that! I won't live with that!" Uh-oh, sounds like a death threat. BTW, when Lily was screaming at Carly at the barbecue (or was it the camp?), she said, "Stay away from my husband!" Since Lily was already demanding a divorce, and kicked Carly out of her life, what right did she have to make such a demand???

GAY HENRY STUFF
8:55 - Most men look macho in a cowboy hat but Henry just looks foolish. The hat is way too high.
9:04 - look how lovingly he looks at the pink hat, and it ain't because he misses Vienna. I was VERY surprised that the writers didn't make Gay Henry put on the pink hat
9:35 - Henry: "You give it to me straight" Haha

Lily was increasingly dysfunctional even when Martha Byrne was Lily but Noelle Beck has takrn her into uncharted territory (for Lily). With Byrne, I felt a lot of sympathy even when Lily was destructive. With this Lily, I couldn't wait for a divorce.

Wow, it looks like everyone is trying to heal the marriage except Lily. Luke is being unfair to Holden but at least he's also trying to help. Lily has no one to blame but herself. She wouldn't let Holden breathe so he went to Carly (whom he hated in the past). And now only she is to blame for forcinng the breakup. And I agree that Noele is awful.

My theory was always that made Lily so unlikable so that they can kill her off and viewers won't complain (I know I won't!). Hiring Noele Beck just confirmed it for me because I can't imagine anyone less competent and more annoying in the role. I'd rather hear a toilet flush than her voice.

I stopped watching ATWT for a while because of Lily is so sickening. Noelle just makes her so much worse. I'm watching again but I fastfoward all scenes with her.
