@lb8068 The Su-25T can carry 16 missiles only on two of it's 10 pylons plus extra guided/unguided bombs, unguided rockets, guided missiles and even anti-radar missiles (those are the type of missiles you use against SAM's like let's say the patriot or the Sa-11) ... And when doing a attack run it's good to be able to accelerate out of the place fast before some idiot with a igla or a zsu-23 tries to get you.

Nice comparison.

@Ksharp1fan РОССИЯ №1

@Ksharp1fan That's a very naive and general thing to say...
-
@alexat410 But we weren't talking about pilots, we were talking about the actual aircraft themselves.
-
@Ksharp1fan I agree to you in that sense but im saying that the russian have way cheaper equipement but they are extremely reliable for their price.
-
@lb8068 I guess it all depends on the pilots

USAF > russian air force

@alexat410 The OA-10A has a greater combat radius and the ability to carry more munitions than the Su-25T. Speed isn't necessary for ground attack aircraft, especially when carrying out CAS operations, and on the contrary you want to be able to go as slow as possible when going in for an attack run, to put it simply. Something that the A-10 is more capable of doing than the Su-25. Good plane? Yeah, the Su-25 is fantastic. Most effective? That's debatable.

@Zeljko9292
Thanks.
Actually the Su-25 is staying service but in smaller numbers. They're currently receiving an upgrade called Su-25SM.
I've got some more material on the Su-25 and I'm planning on making part-2 to this video

@Husar101
isnt the yak-130 a bit light for this kind of role... or dont the russian use really well armed ground attackers like the a-10?

@PewPewPlasmagun
the Yak-130 isn't replacing the Su-25 any time soon....the Yak is currently just a trainer with some light attack capability
