In "The All You Can Eat Gardening Handbook" I suggest you try something new in your vegetable garden each season. This was my first attempt at growing and processing wheat, and a great learning experience. I'm sure I'll get better each year but this is how I did it this year.

  • I appreciate the value you place on being respobsible for our own food sources but would like to

see you have a better understanding of the ancient traditions, wheat songs and spiritual relevence this plant has carried..you might enjoy some sicilian grano festa videos or traditional harvesting vids...

  • How much of the wheat do you save for replanting next year? And wehre did you purchase your wheat?

  • ah, now I get it, thanks

  • @cpepe22 you just grind the berries down to a fine powder and you have flour ready for baking homemade bread... Its that simple!

  • so what is flour and how does that fit into the picture

  • I'm sure there is an easier way to separate the berries from the chafe. What if you banged it around like you do, but on the bottom you had a mesh with openings that weren't too much larger than the berries?

  • Well done. Thanx.

  • how much sun you need for wheat or barley

  • Thank you, this one was a Very nice video, thank you again.

  • Don't forget to put a lid on your finished product, or you'll be growing your own mice too. :)
