Shows the carnage and chaos at the first dune and why you want to be in the leading 20 riders at the Weston Beach Race, Weston-super-Mare, England. If you look closely in the distant background you can see the remaining 1000 riders on their way to this dune. Also you can see at the 8:36 mark the leading riders start to come around again, lapping all these guys before they've even made it over one dune!

  • they cant be lapping them mate david knight the winners quickest lap was 22 mins not 8

  • @mitchmister881 I think you'll find that you've got the number of laps and lap times mixed up. i.e. approx number of laps the winner completes each year is around 22-23 and the average lap time is around the 8-9 minute mark.

  • Makes me think of the I5 at 5:20 PM ; traffic gridlock, motor reving but totally at the mercy of some goober waiting to blast sand and blue smoke in my face. So when does the fun start ? I reckon when you become the goober doing the sand blasting, right?
