You mean people treat her nicely even though she' not Russian, strange, I guess the stereotypes come from the Over Hyped Media trying to get people's attention on what happens in ST. Petersburg to foreigners.

Trust me, I know not all Russian students are like that, least of all the serious ones. You should realize, though, that stereotypes are just that. There are negative stereotypes about Russians, and there are positive ones. I've seen examples of both here. You really can't expect a short slapdash video on youtube to address all prevalent stereotypes on an entire nation.
Not that it even matters. We meant "Russian" to mean students of the language, not actual students from Russia.
